DCIL Recruitment 2023 – Eligibility Criteria

1. Dredge Cadets Should have completed Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) from Institutes approved by D.G. Shipping.
2. Trainee Marine Engineers Should have completed 4 years Of Marine Engineering Degree from any IMU-affiliated colleges/ Institutes approved by DG Shipping. (OR) Should have completed Graduate Marine Engineering from a recognized university.
3. Near Coastal Voyage (NCV) Trainees (GP Rating) Minimum X Class Pass from recognized Education Board and Pre-Sea G.P Rating Course and passed the Exit Examination approved by D.G Shipping with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
4. Inland Dredge Operator 3 years experience in Inland cutter suction dredgers. Preference will be given to the candidates with 10th standard pass.
Note:
i. Candidates, who have already acquired COC as MEO CL IV and also who are about to obtain the said COC are not eligible to apply for TME.
ii. Candidates, who have already acquired COC as Dredge Mate Gr. I /2nd Mate (FG) and also who are about to obtain the said COC are not eligible to apply for DNS cadet
DCIL Jobs 2023 – Age Limit
The age should be less than 25 years as of 30th September 2023.
DCIL Stipend 2023
During the training period Dredge Cadets will be paid a stipend of Rs.15000/- per month plus victualling allowance @ Rs.500 per day, Trainee Marine Engineers will be paid a stipend of Rs.25000/- per month plus victualling allowance @500 per day and Near Coastal Voyage (Trainees) will be paid a stipend of Rs 10,000/- per month plus victualling allowance @405 per day. Candidates selected as Dredge Cadets & Trainee Marine Engineers will have to execute a Bank guarantee of three lakhs or the same amount to be deposited with DCI to serve DCI for a period of five years after completion of the requisite training period and obtaining CoC.

DCIL Selection Process 2023
The selection is based on the performance in Written Test for NCV (Trainees) and Written Test and Interview both for Dredge Cadets, and Trainee Marine Engineers.
Filling up of vacancies is solely at the discretion of the Management based on the suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for an appointment, if vacancies are not filled due to un-suitability/ insufficient number of candidates.
The candidature of the applicant would be provisional and subject to subsequent verification of certificates/ testimonials.
