UPSC Civil Services & Indian Forest Service Examinations 2025 – Total 1,129 Posts
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released notifications for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) and Indian Forest Service Examination (IFoS) for the year 2025. These prestigious examinations aim to select candidates for key administrative and forest services posts in the country. Candidates are required to appear for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination to qualify for the respective Main Examinations.
Notification-wise Details
1. Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025
* Number of Posts: 979 (including reserved posts for PwBD candidates).
* Post Names: Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other Group A & B services.
Educational Qualifications:
* Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
* Candidates in the final year of their degree program can also apply, provided they produce the final results before the Main Examination.
Age Limit:
* 21–32 years as of August 1, 2025 (Relaxations applicable for reserved categories).
Exam Pattern:
* Preliminary Examination: Two papers (General Studies I & II – CSAT). Objective type.
* Main Examination: Nine papers (Essay, General Studies, Optional Subjects). Written format.
* Interview: Personality Test.
* Physical Standards: As per service-specific requirements.
2. Indian Forest Service Examination (IFoS) 2025
* Number of Posts: Approximately 150 (including reserved posts for PwBD candidates).
* Post Names: Positions in the Indian Forest Service.
Educational Qualifications:
* Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
* Candidates in the final year of their degree program can also apply, provided they produce the final results before the Main Examination.
Age Limit:
* 21–32 years as of August 1, 2025 (Relaxations applicable for reserved categories).
Exam Pattern:
* Preliminary Examination: Two papers (General Studies I & II – CSAT). Objective type.
* Main Examination: Nine papers (Essay, General Studies, Optional Subjects). Written format.
