గుడ్ల వాడకాన్నీ, దానిలోని ఆరోగ్య ప్రయోజనాల్ని ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా గల ప్రజలకు తెలియజెప్పుతూ ప్రతియేట అక్టోబరు రెండో శుక్రవారం నాడు ‘వరల్డ్ ఎగ్ డే' నిర్వహించడం జరుగుతుంది.

మన దేశంలో గుడ్డు వాడకం అధికమనే చెప్పాలి.

గుడ్డును పలు రూపాలలో ఆహారంగా తీసుకుంటారు. పచ్చి గుడ్డుసొనను నోటిలో పోసుకొని మింగడం, గుడ్డును ఉడికించి తిన డం, ఉడికించిన గుడ్డు బ్రెడ్ ని కలిపి టోస్ట్గా కూడా తీసుకుంటారు. అంతేకాకుండా గుడ్డు ను పలావులో, బిర్యానిలో రుచికోసం వాడతా రు, బేకరీలలో కేకుల తయారీల్లో గుడ్డును విరివిగా వాడుతారు. గుడ్డు ఆమ్లెట్, బుల్స్ ఐ,ఎగ్ ఫ్రై... కూరగా వాడుతారు. గుడ్డు ఏ ఒక్క వయసువారికో పరిమితమైన ఆహారం కాదు. బాల్యం నుండి వృద్దాప్యం వరకు అన్ని వయసులలో స్ర్తీ పురుషులు భేదం లేకుండా గుడ్డును తీసుకుంటారు.

 గుడ్డుమీద జరుగుతున్న పరిశోధనలు ఏటా కొత్త ఫలితాలను ఇస్తూనేవున్నాయి. గుడ్డును తీసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరాన్ని పదే పదే నొక్కిచె బుతున్నారు. ఉదయం అల్పాహారంతో గుడ్డు తీసుకోవడం మంచిదని తజా అధ్యయనము లో తేలినది. గుడ్డులో సొన శక్తినిస్తుంది. శరీ రంలో ప్రతి అవయవం మీద గుడ్డు ప్రభావం చూపుతుంది. గుడ్డును శాకాహారంగా ప్రకటించి అందరికీ గుడ్డు అందించాలనే ఉద్యమం ఇటీవలి కాలంలో ఊపందుకుంది.
